1 - What is a MobilityPass account and what can I do with it?
The Global Roaming account is an international Internet account that permits easy access to the Internet in 170 countries around the world, from more than 100,000 WiFi hotspots and 37,000 dial-up points of presence (POPs). You can easily connect in a click on first quality reliable networks using any Internet enabled device with a 56k/ISDN/GSM modem or WiFi card. With our services, you will also be able to send and receive your e-mails from your current e-mail accounts and programs, get a secure connection (VPN) to your office server when traveling and more.
2 - Are airports and hotels mostly covered?
Wireless or wired broadband access points cover all major airports and hotels. The number of wireless access points - currently over 100,000 hotspots - tends to increase and is updated every week. Of course dial-up connections on local or toll free numbers will always allow you to connect from any location.
3 - Can I use my current e-mail account and program anywhere?
Yes, and this is maybe the best reason why you should use our services. With our Global Roaming Mobile Assistant, no need to use a webmail. Just check and send your e-mails as if you were at home or at the office.
4 - Do you offer corporate solutions?
Yes, and if you are planning to open more than 2 accounts for your mobile workers, we would recommend to open a corporate account. Apart from a worldwide Internet access service and secure communication tools, you will have the possibility to manage all your sub-accounts, control your global usage and check daily the connection details for each individual. 1 - What are the start-up costs and do I have to pay monthly fees?
There are NO set-up fees to open a Global Roaming account. There is no time limitation on any accounts, no monthly charges, and no annual charges, so you can keep it as long as you want, even for years. NO USAGE = NO BILLING. You can activate the services individually depending on your needs and just when you need them.
2 - What is the start-up balance?
It is the amount fixed by you at sign-up that will be deposited into your Global Roaming account and counted against the use of the services made by you. When the account balance falls below 25.00 USD, it will be automatically topped up to the initial startup balance by debiting your credit card.
3 - Will I receive an invoice for my monthly usage?
The service charges for roaming will be itemized in your monthly billing, easily accessible on-line using our sophisticated control panel which includes invoices, payment, current and past balances as well as an overall summary of your account. The minimum invoicing for your monthly usage is 5.00 USD. If you don't use the service no billing will be issued for that month and no minimum or additional charges will be applied.
1 - Which operating systems and types of devices are supported?
Our software supports Windows 2000, NT, ME, XP, Vista. We also provide a software for Mac OS X platforms, PDA's - Palm platforms, Windows CE, Palm 3.1, 3.5, 4.0, handheld PC, Pocket PC devices. A guide and all the information for manual connections is available in your member's area so you can connect with any kind of Internet enabled devices.
2 - Where can I find local access points?
Local access points are available and automatically updated in our software. You can also find them in our member's area or our coverage web page.
3 - Can I send/receive e-mails with Outlook and other e-mail programs?
Yes, you will be able to use your current e-mails from Outlook or your current e-mail programs, with Global Roaming Mobile Assistant, our global SMTP server, no need to use a webmail or public free e-mails.
4 - Can I use the service to access my corporate network (VPN)?
Yes, our software is prepared to accept VPN clients and all access points are VPN ready. When used in conjunction with a virtual private network (VPN) solution, authorized Cisco services, etc..., you can gain secure access to your corporate network. The service is interoperable with all industry leading VPN, firewall and token card solutions. We can also provide you with the best VPN solution in partnership with Cisco Systems.
5 - How do I get technical support when I'm traveling?
We provide 24x7 technical support in English, French, Spanish and German. Moreover, you will find all manuals, instructions, forum and configurations in your member's area.
